Welcome to Robert C. Ectman’s
UNITED WE THRIVE (UWT) Social, Economic, Water, and Environmental Sustainability Movement and our MISSION IMPROVE ARIZONA (MIA) initiative that begins by supporting my candidacy for Governor of Arizona!
“Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky.” ―Sonia Gandhi
I am confident that with my profound love for humanity, deep sense of purpose, passionate drive, dedication, and tenacious resolve, I can, as your Governor, inspire, unite, and lead the good people of Arizona to a better future!
I am committed to end the division and bring Arizonans together on a great mission (and long-term challenge) to cultivate and co-create a more inclusive, equitable, interconnected, healthy, and joyful society in which everyone is given the opportunity to thrive by discovering their full potential!
The Ectman Administration will direct the research, development, and transformation to societal and ecological sustainability by building networks, alliances, and coalitions for collective action under combinations of technology-led, market-led, state-led, and citizen-led processes.
We will implement bold, forward-looking initiatives and strategic plans to dramatically increase public engagement and participation that will harness our collective wisdom to guide and drive wise, inclusive polity-making, uplift our society and create a sustainable environment and thriving economy that will benefit our current generation of Arizonans and ensure the resources and opportunities for future generations to prosper!
Please join our movement and make a contribution to help me win this race. I promise that I am ready, willing, and able to work around the clock, seven days a week as your Governor to solve the problems that plague our society and achieve our collective, long-term sustainability goals!
Advocate and Help Facilitate the Rise of Conscious Capitalism
Conscious capitalism is defined as an emerging economic system that “builds on the foundations of capitalism“– voluntary exchange, entrepreneurship, competition, freedom to trade and the rule of law, and adds, for a healthy functioning economy, trust, compassion, collaboration, value creation and profit-sharing.
A conscious business focuses on an ongoing process of self-awareness of its impact on local communities and the world in various spheres, including profit-sharing and investing in public works projects, social and environmental impacts considering short-term and long-term effects of its actions or inaction and evolving in ways in which it benefits the world.
Conscious capitalism has 4 pillars guiding a business for conducting socially responsible and ethical practices:
Conscious Leadership – Higher Purpose -Conscious Culture –
Edited excerpts from the Conscious Capitalist Credo:
Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had, but we can aspire to even more.
Conscious Capitalism is a way of thinking about capitalism and business that better reflects where we are in the human journey, the state of our world today, and the innate potential of business to make a positive impact on the world.
Conscious businesses have trusting, authentic, innovative and caring cultures that make working there a source of both personal growth and professional fulfillment. They endeavor to create financial, intellectual, social, cultural, emotional, spiritual, physical and ecological wealth for all their stakeholders.
Conscious businesses will help evolve our world so that billions of people can flourish, lifting people out of poverty and leading people to live lives infused with passion, purpose, love and creativity; a world of freedom, harmony, prosperity and compassion.
Invest, Encourage and Support Social Entrepreneurship
Social entrepreneurship is perhaps best defined as “a process by which citizens build or transform institutions to advance solutions to social problems, such as poverty, illness, illiteracy, environmental destruction, human rights abuses, and corruption, in order to make life better for many.”
Social Entrepreneurs are the practical dreamers who have the talent, skills and vision to solve problems and change the world for the better. They create Social Enterprise Organizations to address unmet social needs or solve a social economic or environmental problem through a market-driven approach that seeks profits for social impact, economic and environmental sustainability.
Social entrepreneur Alex Nicholls wrote in his book:
New Models of Sustainable Social Change
“Our best hope for the future of humanity lies in the power and effectiveness of socially motivated, highly empowered individuals who fight for changes in the way we live, think and behave.” “Social entrepreneurs use a unique approach that is both evolutionary and revolutionary operating in a free market where success is not just in financial profit, but also in the improvement of the quality of people’s lives.”
Advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Self-regulating company being socially accountable to itself, its stakeholders, and the public by being conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society including economic, social, and environmental.
To engage in CSR means that, in the normal course of business, a company is operating in ways that enhance society and the environment, instead of contributing negatively to them.
